In 2013 despite eating a "healthy" diet, and exercising regularly we discovered the food we were eating was not beneficial to our overall health and wellbeing.


We were putting on weight, had low energy levels, felt stressed, unproductive, had random aches and joint pains,, and generally felt "meh" for no obvious reason.


So, we decided to conduct a little experiment.


For 10 weeks, we changed the food we ate.  


We ditched the sugar and the processed foods, and made a conscious decision to eat well, choosing more vegetables, herbs and spices, nuts and seeds, healthy fats, and less meat - a palm sized portion with some meals.  We chose organic and grass-fed whenever possible.


We also stopped eating dairy, wheat, pasta, rice, bread, and white potatoes.


After 10 weeks, the results were astounding:


  • weight loss - without even trying
  • increased energy levels
  • better quality, more restful, sleep
  • joint aches disappeared
  • reduced likelihood of type 2 diabetes
  • mental health improved - reduced anxiety, generally calmer
  • mental clarity - productivity at work, and focus improved
  • eczema disappeared


We realised we'd been poisoning ourselves every day and hadn't even noticed!


Since then, we've been taking steps to reducing our toxic load and discovering for ourselves more about how food affects us:  mind, body & soul.  And we're sharing this knowledge with you now.


We're also conscious of the damage being done to the planet and its natural resources through intensive farming and fishing.  


We continue to commit to our predominantly plant-based food choices and reducing the toxins in our environment - both at home and at work.
